In my Polka Dots World…

Decided to blog 1 final entry to mark the end of 2008. It seems that the year has flown by exceptionally fast, at least for me. Although it has been a busy & stressful year, but it has also been a fulfilling & satisfying one too cos I’ve achieved my 2008 major resolution.  I’ve finally completed my course of studies & am now a graduate! *smirks*

The common question before the year comes to an end : What’s your resolutions for the new year? Mine? 1. Change job!! Desperately wanting to do so no matter how bad the economy may be… Haha… 2. Find a bf. Yes, u heard me.. Hahaha… Oh well, age is catching up with me & I guess it’s reali time to do that. *LOL* I believed they shouldn’t be too tough to achieve. Haaaa….

To my gals : another year has passed, another year of valuable friendship. Thanks for everything! Isa, thanks for lending me a listening ear whenever I need it & giving me moral support in times of exams & assignments stress. Thanks for the Xmas card cos I am so touched & I reali love it. I will learn to love myself more. =) Babe, thanks for being there for me during my unhappy times and of cos there to share my happy times too. I love our bitching sessions which bonds us closer too. Haha..

To Love : (To clear the air, Love is gal not guy ok.. Haha…) I’m glad that we patched up our friendship before the year comes to an end. May 2009 be a greater year for us!

Lastly, Happy New Year folks! May u be blessed with a year filled with joy, health, wealth & prosperity!

Oh well, I have to admit I wasn’t the least focused ever since the start of the school sem in July. Not too sure why but I guess I lost the drive & motivation along the way. Yes, I wasn’t the diligent student either but assignments were still submitted timely. Ok not that I had a choice cos there’s deadline to meet… Haa…

It reali wasn’t the best period I had with the crazy numbers of school assignments, 3 lectures per week, never-ending work & major changes in the company.  But hey hey! It’s all over! The late nights of mugging for exams and  the worrying part that I will flunk big time are all so over! I’ve officially completed the degree course! Yipee!!!

This is certainly 1 of my best moments in 2008 & it’s a great way to conclude the year. =)

I went on the pre-arranged secretive date to unknown location with Chris today… Why all the secretive & unknown? Cos she already asked me out like 3 or 4 weeks ago but refused to tell me where we are going & told me to bring along some weird stuffs. Haa… Anyway I had my 1^st surprise when I saw Sam & followed by Ling & MH!!

They brought me to Sentosa!! Hahaha… We went for the Luge ride which was damn fun! Then followed by the 4d animation show that was very interesting & funny… Oh well, it was something which I’ve not ever thought of going previously but the experience was awesome… Dinner was @ Coastes. Food was nice, ambience was great & rounded up with my tiramisu bday cake… Sweet….Lastly, I finally got the chance to watch Songs of the Sea! Gosh, the show is reali amazing complete with the fireworks… Shi mei dao!!! Chris was so sweet to say she is the 1^st one to present me with fireworks for my bday… Awww…

The thoughts & actions behind all these planning made me soooo touched, seriously… I reali thanked these gals for making the day such a memorable one… Not only I had a wonderful bday celebration, we also had a fun time together. Oh ya not forgetting the super sweet powerpoint slides which Ling did up for me… The panda picture made me laugh out loud & seeing the montage of all the pics we took b4 warms my heart too.. I love u gals!

Went to this dessert place “Dessert Bowl” located at Serangoon Gardens tonight… Simple & cosy place but awesome desserts! A must try – Durian Mousse! Blended durian cream with small heap of durian flesh on top… aww… Nice!

Mich had the Mango De Crème which was essentially custard with toppings of mango cubes & puree served in a tin foil container. It’s texture is very much like crème brulee. Yummy too but portion a bit small though… Rose had peanut rice balls in ginger soup. I’m not a ginger soup person so it’s not for me but she loved the soup.

Took away black sesame cream & almond cream for my parents. Review : not too sweet, smooth but taste cant be compared to those from traditional dessert shops.

Overall, it was great! I wanna go back there again! =)

It’s all about finding the RIGHT one at the right time. I’m happy u did & finally, we are going to marry u off to that gorgeous diamond ring! Oops… I mean Ben… Hee…

Shucks… In the end I din get the pic of the ring yesterday…

I guess all of us have met inconsiderate ppl in their daily life or have also been inconsiderate to others at a certain point in time. I’ve had the misfortune to meet these ppl as well, particularly in the cinema!

I’m the “lucky” one to always have idiots sitting behind me in the cinema who either talks too loudly, talk incessantly as if there’s no tomorrow & worst still, kicks my chair. Just yesterday night, I encountered the combi of the above-mentioned. F*#@#! Nearly wanted to give them a pc of my mind.

Another common place to see such ppl is in the mrt during peak hrs. U see ppl standing & leaning against the pole in the congested cabin when all the others are trying to grip on it to balance, or ppl opening up a copy of ST to read & taking up the already lil’ space which prob can accommodate another person. There are also ppl who loves to squeeze themselves in even though the train is packed to the brim instead of waiting for the next train.

Someone was telling me an incident regarding crab eating too. This person only likes to eat crab claws & during meals with crabs, this person only attacks the claws & leaves the remaining to the others selfishly.

It prob just take a min or so to stop & think 1^st before u do something but it can do a lot of difference.

30 July 2008…. Haaaa… I’m an over-age fan!
